This Privacy Policy describes how WhenWas ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the WhenWas mobile application and this website (collectively, the "Service").

1. Summary

WhenWas does not collect, transmit, or share your app data with us or with third parties. Entries, settings, photos, and reminders stay on your device. In Google Play Data safety terms, WhenWas does not collect user data: information that never leaves the device is not treated as collected for that form.

2. Who we are

3. Data stored only on your device

The app stores information locally so it can work offline. This data remains on your device and is not uploaded to our servers (we do not operate a backend for the app).

• Entries and settings: Stored in a local SQLite database on your device.
• Photos: Stored only in the device file system.
• Notifications: Scheduled and delivered locally on the device. Remote push notifications are not used. We do not register or store push tokens.

Uninstalling the app, or clearing the app’s data in system settings, removes this local data according to your device and OS behavior. We cannot recover it for you because we never receive a copy.

4. What we do not collect

WhenWas does not:

• Collect personal data from the app for our own use
• Transmit app content, settings, photos, or usage data off your device to us
• Share or sell user data to third parties
• Use analytics SDKs or crash-reporting SDKs
• Create or require user accounts or sign-in
• Operate cloud sync, remote backup, or an app backend
• Use remote push notifications or collect push tokens
• Process payments in the app

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, share, or transfer WhenWas app data to third parties. Because app data does not leave your device through WhenWas, there is no third-party disclosure of that data by us.

Your device manufacturer, operating system, or app store may process limited technical information under their own policies when you install or use any app. That processing is outside WhenWas and is governed by those parties’ policies.

6. This website and support email

This website is informational and does not require an account. It does not receive your WhenWas entries, photos, or settings from the app.

If you email us at alxgl.app@gmail.com, we receive only what you choose to include in that message (for example, your email address and the text you send). We use that solely to respond to your inquiry and do not use it for advertising, analytics, or profiling. We keep support emails only as long as needed to handle your request, then delete them when no longer necessary.

7. Children’s privacy

WhenWas does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not collect personal information from anyone through the app itself. If a parent or guardian contacts us by email about a child’s privacy, we will address the request and delete any email content we received when appropriate.

8. Your control over data

Because app data stays on your device:

• You can view, edit, and delete entries and related content inside the app.
• You can disable notifications in the app or in your device settings.
• You can remove remaining local data by deleting content in the app, clearing app storage, or uninstalling WhenWas.

There is no account deletion request for WhenWas because the app has no accounts and we hold no app user database. If you previously emailed us, you may ask us to delete that correspondence by writing to alxgl.app@gmail.com.

9. Security

Local data is protected by your device’s own security (for example, device lock and OS app sandboxing). We do not transmit WhenWas app data over the network, so there is no WhenWas cloud transmission to secure. No method of storage is perfect; keep your device updated and locked.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app’s data practices change. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. If we ever begin collecting or transmitting user data off the device, we will revise this policy and our Google Play Data safety declarations accordingly before doing so.
